There are moments in life when change arrives quietly, and others when it lands with real weight. Over the years, I’ve learned that when people come to see me, it’s often because life has shifted, and suddenly money carries more meaning than numbers alone.
This next chapter of my work is a natural evolution of what I’ve been doing for more than 28 years: walking alongside rural and regional families and women, as they navigate major life transitions: succession, divorce, retirement, widowhood, inheritance, and those unexpected moments when everything feels like it’s been turned upside down.
In these moments, decisions are rarely just financial. They go to the heart of who you are: your responsibilities, your identity, and the legacy you want to leave behind. What I’ve seen time and again is that people don’t just need technical advice. They need someone steady in the room. Someone who can help slow things down, make sense of complexity, and create space to think clearly before acting.
My work sits at the intersection of advocacy, behavioural finance, financial psychology, and financial planning. I’m deeply interested in what lies beneath the surface: the unspoken rules within families, the emotional load people carry when roles suddenly shift, and the beliefs about money we inherit from family, culture, and generations before us.
I grew up in Far North Queensland in an Italian family where reputation mattered, loyalty ran deep, and people valued straight talk. That upbringing still shapes how I work today -calm, direct, and grounded in respect for family systems and long-term stewardship.
Like many of my clients, my own lived experiences have shaped how I show up in this work. No one is ever truly 'ready' for life’s big transitions - it’s often the timing that catches people out. I see people when they’re under pressure, when the ground has shifted beneath them, and when they’re facing decisions they never expected to have to make.
People usually reach out to me when something has changed unexpectedly and they need a steady, experienced voice to help them work out what comes next. My role is not to rush decisions, but to walk alongside people as they regain a sense of agency thinking more clearly, acting more wisely, and moving forward with confidence.
I work primarily across regional Queensland, supporting families and women in communities where relationships, continuity, and connection matter deeply. I also work closely with professional partners, including accountants and lawyers, because good outcomes are almost always built through thoughtful collaboration.
Alongside my client work, I remain deeply committed to education and the development of future practitioners. I contribute as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of New England in Behavioural Finance at both Bachelor and Graduate levels, and as a Mentor, Trainer, and Course Writer with Monarch Institute in Vocational Finance Education.
This new chapter is about bringing all of that together - practical wisdom, deep respect for people’s stories, and a clear-eyed understanding of how money, identity, family, and legacy intersect.
If you’re facing a moment of change, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Sometimes the most important first step is simply having the space to think, reflect, and choose your next move well.
